Lou Holtz, back in 1986, decided that his Notre Dame football players needed a bit of inspiration as they took to the field. So, borrowing a slogan from his friend, coach Gerry Faust, Holtz had a sign crafted that read, "Play Like a Champion Today." The sign, bright gold with dark blue lettering, was positioned above a stairway outside the Notre Dame locker room and soon a tradition emerged- players tapped the sign for luck on the way to the field. This poster, measuring 20" x 30" is an exact replica of that famous sign. 16 of the most famous Irish players and coaches have hand signed this poster including: Lou Holtz, Joe Montana, Jerome Bettis, Paul Hornung, Anthony Fasano, Charlie Weis, Tony Rice, Ara Parsegian, Tim Brown, Reggie Brooks, Chris Zorich, Allen Pinkett, Rocky Bleier, Mike Golic, Marc Edwards, and Joe Theismann. These retail for as much as $2500.
